Beginner Classes

Master Yosvel Perez
Born and raised in Cuba, Master Yosvel was part of the Cuban National Taekwondo Team for 7 years. His competitive journey began at age 12 in the city of Cienfuegos and took him to international stages across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Upon coming to the United States, he joined the National Selection AAU team for three years, continuing to compete at the highest levels. He holds a bachelor's degree in Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation.
Yosvel retired from competition ranked #31 in the world. Now he is passionate about giving back to the community the experiences he has received in his thirty-year journey of practicing this beautiful martial art.
When you practice Taekwondo at Yosvel's Taekwondo Academy, you will have the opportunity to learn not just a martial art — you will enter a whole new world, one that has new rules, new goals, and even new clothing.
